Oil-fired boilers should be provided with combustion air in accordance with NFPA31 3 and combustion air openings shall be located at or above the elevation required in IRC Section R322.2.1 per 2015 IRC M1701. Boilers can be vented with a conventional chimney system or through a balanced flue system for direct venting through the wall.
Gas Oil is not permitted. Flue terminals must be protected by a terminal guard if the flue exit point is under 2 metres. We can supply a stainless steel terminal guard which also doubles as a boiler protection guard for all our wall mounted oil boilers. Balanced flue oil …
Oil boilers are available in combi, system and heat only models. With internal and external boilers available and ‘balanced flue’ systems as standard there is a great deal of flexibility for locating the boiler. The plumes from oil boilers can be significant however and an important consideration is …

This page is intended to provide general information about the flue, chimney, and ventilation requirements of domestic liquid fuel or solid fuel-fired appliances, such as boilers, cookers, stoves, open fires and room heaters. The term ‘appliance’ is used throughout this document to refer to all of the above.
Oil boilers can be purchased with balanced flues (where the external air for combustion is drawn into the boiler through a pipe concentric with the boilers extract flue) and also with open flues, where the required air for efficient combustion is drawn from the actual room in which the oil boiler is positioned.
Condensing boilers are highly efficient units that have 2 internal heat exchangers meaning that less heat is lost through the flue. When a non-condensing boiler is replaced with a condensing boiler, the different flue arrangements could mean that the current flue has to be relocated.
This means that you can use either , Plastic flue pipe as on our condensing oil fired boilers up to 41 kW or a Stainless Steel balanced flue system for the 41 kW to 68 kW Output models. This stainless steel flue system utilizes an “0” ring seal and clip fixing system which allows all parts to be quickly assembled.
Domestic Oil Fired Boilers Designed & Made in Britain. Our balanced flue twin wall system is common to all boiler models, making selection of Boilers are supplied with right side flue as shown above, (as brochure Photograph). If left side flue is required please specify when ordering.
